There’s quite a bit of buzz going on in the Tech world since yesterday about the possibility that Apple will buy Twitter for 3 times Twitter’s estimated valuation.

Windows 7 to ship in late October?

So I noticed something very, very fishy in my Slashdot.org “Live Bookmark” … a link in the feed titled “Acer Says Windows 7 To Ship On 23 October.” When you click on the link, you get an error page, whose text uses typical Slashdot.org conspiracy humor: “Nothing for you to see here. Please move along.”

Flu Trends

Check out this awesome interactive tool from Google.org (Google’s philanthropic arm) called Google Flu Trends. Apparently data mining of search terms and search data allows Google to accurately predict the rate of flu infection throughout the U.S.
