Extremism Watch: Witch Children

 
I read the most bizarre thing yesterday, on CNN. Apparently there is a virtual epidemic of people deciding that their children are witches. These so-called Witch Children are abandoned, tortured and killed. They are forced to undergo exorcisms at the hands of local priests and pastors, and often beg unsuccessfully for food. This is occurring mostly in Africa, but seems to be spreading. Stepping Stones Nigeria is one organization working to protect and save some of these children.
