Wait, isn’t this Treason?

Strange, isn’t it, that the Civil War was largely about the “states rights” to institutionalized racism, and now sedition rears its ugly head in those same states when a black man becomes President.

I was under the impression that threatening secession was treason. Apparently that doesn’t phase the governor of Texas, or the legislators of Georgia. Joe Sudbay at Americablog suggests charging fools like these with Rebellion or Insurrection, or possibly Seditious Conspiracy. I’m inclined to agree.
