Thanksgiving Weekend

Lauriol Plaza Front ViewFunny how rest is a relative term. I really didn’t do much extra sleeping over the entire long weekend, but just the mental break from work has been a major help. It was also nice to have Nathaniel around… I’m more of a people person than I sometimes think, I guess. Having someone around to talk to and just… be around… is really nice.
Yeah. I know, I live with Matt. The thing is, over the average weekend, I’m guessing he comes out of his room for less than 4 hours total. That’s not a lot of social time. Having Nathaniel here for a bit makes me realize that I need more social interaction.

Washington MonumentIn related news, we had Tredd drop in over the weekend, as well. He got a brief tour of the Mall – specifically the Washington, WW2, Vietnam, Lincoln, Korean, and DC WW1 memorials. After the Mall, we metro’d over to DuPont Circle to have Dinner at Lauriol Plaza. It was great getting to hang out with him, he’s a good guy. I rarely – if ever – remembered that he’s only 18. He’s probably one of the most mature 18-year-olds I’ve ever encountered.

Well, this upcoming week is the big push – the project we’ve been working on for months and months now goes live over the weekend. Universe willing, by Monday, my life is going to be much, much less complicated and stressful. Of course, every time I’ve even dared to think that this year, the next 6 months have been even more hectic than the last, so I should probably start stocking up on the caffeine and Percocet now.
